At Ski Marco Polo we pride ourselves on the standard of food we serve to our guests. If there is a word that combines 'gourmet' and 'gourmand' it should be applied to our productions. All our ingredients are bought locally to ensure freshness and quality. In advance of your holiday our chef Haydn will send you his recipe book and a weekly menu sheet. From this you may select your choice of meals and also indicate any allergies or forbidden foods your party may have. All the dishes are made to exacting standards and are designed to be both nourishing and delicious. We also offer themed dinner experiences, wine tasting and French cookery lessons.
Starting with breakfast you may decide that you require a cooked meal to give you energy for the days activities or just 'continental' because its quicker! Every morning you will find freshly baked croissants and bread as well as English bacon, sausages, hand made by the chef and the usual accompaniments for a good breakfast. Guests usually eat lunch at one of the many restaurants in and around the resort. On your return to Chalet Marco Polo you will be greeted by an afternoon tea with freshly made cake.
The evening meal begins with an aperitif and what the French call an 'amuse bouche'. The meal will consist of an entree, fish course, main and dessert. Each of the 4 courses of your dinner will be accompanied by an appropriately selected wine. If you still have room the generous cheese board will be brought out or you may prefer to retire to the lounge with a coffee and cognac.
